Getting started
It’s important to talk to your health care team before starting a new exercise routine. The CDC recommends adults 65+ participate in 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity per week. When you sign up for Bold, you can choose how many days you’d like to exercise per week, and we’ll design a specialized program based on your goals. You’ll get a new set of classes each week, and you can take classes whenever you’d like. Activities like walking or biking are a great complement to your Bold classes too.
If you’re above 65, you’re in the right place. Bold is designed to bring you safe and effective exercise to maintain your balance, strength, and flexibility as you age – regardless of your ability or fitness level. Your personalized program is designed by our team of clinical experts based on your background, preferences, and goals. Let’s get moving!
Equipment is not required to participate in Bold. Some classes suggest equipment like dumbbells or resistance bands, which can be purchased separately. In case you do not have a certain kind of equipment mentioned in a Bold class, your trainer will offer suggestions for how to complete the exercises effectively.
Health and safety
If you have a chronic condition, it’s important to talk to your doctor before starting a new exercise program. Bold programs, created by our team of clinical researchers, physical therapists, doctors, and expert trainers, are designed to be safe and adaptable for older adults with a wide range of conditions. You can always modify exercises in Bold classes based on your mobility, pain, and energy on a given day. Always listen to your body and consult your doctor if you experience any issues while exercising.
As we age, we may experience changes in your balance that make us more likely to fall. Fall prevention is about being ready to adapt when something challenges your balance. Balance training, a key pillar of Bold programs, is one of the most effective ways to prevent falls. Bold classes are designed by our team of doctors, researchers, and expert trainers to help you strengthen your muscles, awareness, and coordination so you can maintain your balance.
Privacy and security
We take your privacy very seriously. Our team protects your personal information with best-in-class security and privacy practices. We do not sell your data. Read Bold’s Privacy policy.
